It's a badly needed day off, right? What else? A decreed day to remember. To contemplate all that have died in the wars the USA has fought, To appreciate those that didn't die, too - - - those who's lives were forever changed through this service, or those who's contributions were less dramatic but still invaluable. It's easy to let the mad rush of our daily lives squeeze out all opportunity to appreciate. Memorial Day is perhaps the most important of our national holidays, for the opportunity to simply appreciate. Watch a movie or two about any of the wars, and allow yourself the luxury of thinking about it, really thinking about it. We are so fortunate, in part of the fortunes and misfortunes of so many. It does provide motivation to do more. Be more.
